About Me

My brother Hoss and I are in the cattle and hair sheep business here in Northeastern Oklahoma.  We grew up around a herd of Foundation Bred Beefmaster Cows and we've always admired the way Tom Lasater bred cattle in a "no-nonsense" way.  We are also advocates of managed grazing.  We have an interest in the African Breeds of Cattle for we feel they have a lot to offer cattle here in the U.S - especially when it comes to making them more easy care and grazing them in large numbers with nonselective grazing.

Welcome to the site Joe, have you read Johann Zietsman' s article on the development of his Veldmaster herd? I would be interested in your opinions, we might be able to get a thread started on the subject, as there are a number of Veldmaster breeders who are members.
